Now many customers will encounter a problem when buying UV flatbed printers, that is, what nozzle should I choose? Some say Ricoh nozzle is good, some say Toshiba nozzle is good, and some say Epson nozzle is also good. So what nozzle is suitable for you?

Next, let's compare Ricoh G5 nozzle with Toshiba Ce4 nozzle.

1、 Differences between Ricoh G5 and Toshiba Ce4 nozzles

1)Ricoh G5 nozzle entered the Chinese UV printer market at the end of 2013. So far, most UV printer manufacturers have adopted Ricoh G5 nozzle, and the market price is about 20000 yuan / piece. Let's take a look at the parameters of gen5 nozzle: the metal nozzle nozzle is adopted, with an average service life of 3-5 years, twice that of similar nozzles.

Gen5 / 7-35pl, 1280 nozzles, 8 gray levels, printing width: 54mm, ignition frequency: 60KHZ, physical accuracy: 600 DPI

2)Toshiba nozzles entered the market at the beginning of 2016. At present, few domestic manufacturers use Toshiba nozzles. Toshiba nozzles used in UV printers are generally Toshiba Ce4, and the market price is about 16000 yuan / piece. Here are Toshiba Ce4 nozzle parameters:

Toshiba Ce4 / 6-42pl, 636 nozzles, 8 gray levels, printing width 53.6mm, ignition frequency 17.9khz, physical accuracy 300 dpi

2. Which is better, Ricoh G5 or Toshiba Ce4 nozzle?

There may be nothing specific about the parameters of the nozzle above, but the numbers are different. To decide whether a nozzle is good or not, we should first look at the printing accuracy, speed and service life of the nozzle.

1. The printing accuracy of the nozzle means that the nozzle has the highest image resolution. According to the above data, Ricoh G5 is 600 DPI and Toshiba Ce4 is 300 dpi.

2. Three indicators of the nozzle determine its printing speed:

A. Number of nozzles

That is, how many nozzles are working in one nozzle (e.g. G5, i.e. 1280 nozzles are working)

B. Ignition frequency of nozzle

That is, the number of ink dots that can be sprayed per second by each nozzle (for example, G5, 60K, that is, 60000 ink dots can be sprayed per second by each nozzle)

C. Weight or size of ink dot (e.g. 35pl for G5)

If the ink dot is small, you need to cover it with more ink dots per unit area to achieve color saturation. The larger the value obtained by multiplying the three, that is, the faster the printing speed of the nozzle. Some nozzles have many spray holes. However, the ignition frequency is very low and will not be fast. Some nozzles have high ignition frequency and many spray holes, but the ink dot is too small, so it may not be fast.

3. Nozzle service life.

Both of them are industrial nozzles, and their service life can reach about 4-5 years. It mainly depends on the ink used in the printing process and the daily maintenance. Ricoh nozzle does not choose ink, but also has three years of market growth, and the technology is relatively mature and stable. Toshiba Ce4 nozzle came out soon, and the ink market also needs some experience.

From the above data, we can see theoretically which is better for UV printer nozzle. I believe you already have a definition in mind. However, you still need to visit the manufacturer to see the specific effect. Only when you see the printing effect at the scene can you be confident. It is not unreasonable to pay for everything. Of course, it is also important to choose reliable UV flat-panel printer manufacturers.
